Crop Varieties
Pulse Crops

The UN’s Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) defines pulses as legumes grown solely for dry seeds, used for food, livestock feed, and soil enrichment. Their nitrogen-fixing properties make them essential for crop rotation, boosting yields and reducing costs. Popular pulses include peas, beans, lentils, and soybeans. With rising demand in Asia, Agriventis Technologies is expanding distribution in India and Pakistan. Farmers are increasingly drawn to the profitability and soil benefits of chickpeas, and Agriventis holds exclusive commercialization rights for eight cultivars, with more on the way.

Dryland Native Rice
Agriventis Technologies is pioneering dryland rice cultivation in Northern and Central Australia, achieving yields of 6-8 tonnes per hectare using only rainfall. In partnership with the University of Central Queensland, their varieties offer twice the water efficiency of paddy rice and strong disease resistance. With unique, deep-rooted strains registered to Agriventis, commercialization will unlock vast new agricultural opportunities, reducing reliance on irrigation while creating global licensing potential.

Black Sesame
AgriVentis Technologies is now the only commercial Black Sesame Seed grower in Australia. With the first Black sesame crops successfully growing through extreme conditions it is becoming evident that the coming seasons will only produce greater quality with higher tolerances to extreme weather conditions. Currently 100% of Black Sesame Seed is imported into Australia and with the surge of it use in everything from bread rolls through to ice cream the demand for this little seed is growing beyond all expectation. We believe the Black Sesame Seed market will continue this strong trend now and into the future both in Australia and abroad.

Brassica (Mustard) Crops
Brassica is a genus in the mustard family, commonly known as cruciferous vegetables. Mustard seed, similar to canola but more drought-resistant, is an excellent rotation crop due to its biofumigant properties, helping control cereal root diseases. Agriventis Technologies, in partnership with the University of Sydney, has developed a mustard variety suited for arid conditions with high AITC levels. These compounds are valuable in food flavoring, pharmaceuticals, and pest control, alongside producing vegetable oil and protein meal for animal feed.

Drought-Tolerant Soybeans
Soybeans are among the highest protein-producing pulses, widely used in foods and supplements. However, they require significant water. Agriventis Technologies has developed a naturally bred, drought-tolerant variety suited for diverse soils, expanding growth potential in Australia. Recognized as a valuable rotation crop, soybeans offer strong domestic and export opportunities, particularly in Asia. Our strains, derived from Bangladeshi, U.S., and Australian stock, are entirely non-GMO.

Mung Beans
AgriVentis Technologies is focused on breeding and delivering sought after Mung Bean varieties that fit the growing window in Australia and the quality parameters of the World market. Our Mungbean Varieties are Large ,Green, Shiny types that are highly desired by all major traders. The seed is very uniform in size, making it suitable for both Cooking and Sprouting. Our varieties have good standability and uniform plant height. They are performing well in both Dryland and Irrigated Farming Systems. Our varieties can handle the harsh climate of the Australian growing season while maintaining quality.
